Goalkeeper Kip Turner was the star for Boston, making 21 saves. For his efforts, Turner was named MLL Defensive Player of the Week.
Justin Smith paced Boston’s offense with a hat trick as 10 Cannons scored goals.
Three Cannons players were named to the MLL All-Star team recently. Poskay, Kevin Buchanan and Chris Eck were selected to play against Team USAin the All-Star Game, which will be held July 8 at Harvard Stadium.
Cannons on the Team USA roster include defender Kyle Sweeney, attack Ryan Boyle, defender Ryan McClay and midfielder Paul Rabil.
Poskay currently leads MLL in goals (23) and points (28) and has moved into second place on the team’s all-time goal-scoring list with 118. He needs 16 goals to move past David Evans as the top goal scorer in team history.
