Cannons named to MLL All-Star team

Several members of the Boston Cannons have been named to the Major League Lacrosse All-Star team.
The 20-man MLL All-Star team will face off against the U.S. Men’s National Team on Thursday, July 8 (7 p.m.) at Harvard Stadium.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2.
Dave Huntley, who guided the Toronto Nationals to the MLL championship last season, will serve as head coach for the MLL All-Stars. Assistant coaches are Boston Cannons coach Bill Daye and Chesapeake Bayhawks coach John Tucker.
Boston Cannons players on the MLL All-Star roster include:
►Matt Poskay (attack): Poskay is having the best start of his five-year MLL career. He currently leads the MLL with 23 goals and 28 points in six games this season.
►Kevin Buchanan (midfielder): In his first year playing for the Cannons, Buchanan has scored 11 goals and 17 points on the season.
►Chris Eck (face-off specialist): Eck is enjoying another solid season taking draws for the Cannons. His 91 face-off wins this season rank second in Major League Lacrosse.
Also named to the MLL All-Star team are: Denver goalie Jesse Schwartzman, Chesapeake midfielder Matt Abbott, Chesapeake attack Danny Glading, Denver defender Matt Bockley, Long Island midfielder Stephen Berger, Chesapeake goalie Chris Garrity, Toronto defender Brodie Merrill, Chicago attack Kevin Leveille (UMass), Denver midfielder Dan Hardy, Chicago midfielder Chris Rotelli, Chicago midfielder Bill McGlone, Chicago face-off specialist Anthony Kelly, Long Island attack Matt Danowski, Long Island defender Nicky Polanco, Chesapeake defender Michael Evans, Chesapeake midfielder Peet Poillon and Long Island defender Brian Spallina.
Team USA is coached by Bryant University’s Mike Pressler.
Cannons on the Team USA roster include defender Kyle Sweeney, attack Ryan Boyle, defender Ryan McClay and midfielder Paul Rabil.
Also on the roster is defender Parker McKee of Old Greenwich, Conn.
Other members of Team USA include attack Brendan Mundorf, defender Joe Cinosky, goalie Brian Dougherty, defender Eric Martin, midfielder Matt Striebel, midfielder Matt Zash, face-off specialist Alex Smith, attack Ned Crotty, midfielder Stephen Peyser, midfielder Kyle Dixon, attack Ryan Powell, attack Drew Westervelt, defender Shawn Nadelen, defender Lee Zink, midfielder Kevin Cassese, midfielder Chris Schiller, defender DJ Driscoll, midfielder Max Seibald, goalie Adam Fullerton and attack Mike Leveille.
