St. John's Prep dethrones Duxbury

St. John’s Prep kept Duxbury from capturing a seventh straight Massachusetts Division 1 boys lacrosse state title with a 12-11 overtime victory on Thursday.
Duxbury’s Seamus Connelly scored the go-ahead goal with 18 seconds left in regulation, only to have St. John’s Garrett Campbell score on a rebound to send the game into OT.
St. John’s goalkeeper Nick Triano made a point-blank save in OT, setting up the game-winning goal. James Fahey took an outlet pass from Triano and raced downfield to score the game-winner.
Campbell scored four goals for St. John’s, with Colin Blackwell adding two.
Bryan Barry and Nick Woodgate scored three goals apiece for Duxbury.
