Tufts men remain ranked No. 6

The unbeaten Tufts University men’s lacrosse team remained ranked No. 6 in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association’s Division 3 national poll this week.
The Jumbos are 9-0 (6-0 NESCAC) and are led offensively by D.J. Hessler (18 goals, 22 assists) and Ryan Molloy (17 goals, 13 assists).
Tufts has outscored its opposition 123-66 on the season, with Steven Foglietta (7.35 goals-against average) and Bryan Petillo (7.49 GAA) handling the majority of the goaltending duties.
Following a game at Western New England College on Tuesday, April 13, Tufts will face a showdown at eighth-ranked Connecticut College on Saturday in a battle of unbeaten teams.
Connecticut College is 10-0 heading into its April 13 contest against the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and remained at No. 8 in this week’s poll.
Also in the Division 3 Top 20 this week is Middlebury, which dropped three spots from No. 12 to No. 15.
In Division 1, UMass is the highest-ranked New England team, but the Minutemen dropped five spots from No. 7 to No. 12.
Four other teams from the region are in the Top 20, with Yale at No. 16, followed by Fairfield (No. 18), Brown (No. 19) and Harvard (No. 20).
In Division 2, Bentley dropped one spot from No. 5 to No. 6, while Merrimack moved into the Top 10 at No. 10 after being unranked last week.
