Brown boss thrilled to add Ross

Former Duke lacrosse standout Brad Ross has been named an assistant coach for the Brown men's lacrosse team in an announcement made by Brown head coach Lars Tiffany.
"After an extensive national search and review of great candidates, Brown University and our lacrosse program is very fortunate to have Brad Ross joining our program," said Tiffany. "The mission of this program is to produce leaders and difference-makers. Our men have an outstanding role model to accomplish such objectives with Brad Ross spearheading the charge. Brad will focus on the offense, our faceoff men, and game-day substitution."
A two-year captain and three-time All-American at Duke, Ross earned a BA in Sociology (2008) and a Master of Arts in Humanities in 2009. An ACC All-Academic Team selection in 2007 and 2008, Ross was a finalist for NCAA Division 1 Lowe's Senior Class Award in 2008 and 2009, and a USILA Scholar All-American.
Ross was a three-year starter at Duke, helping the Blue Devils earn three ACC Championships (2007, 2008, 2009), and a berth in the NCAA final in 2005 and 2007. He played in a NCAA-record 73 wins over five years for the Blue Devils.
Ross worked extensively in the Durham community, volunteering at Ronald McDonald House, the Duke Children's Hospital Radiothon, and as a tutor at the Watts Elementary School.
Ross is coming off a successful start to his professional playing career as a midfielder, recently helping the Toronto Nationals to the Major League Lacrosse championship.
