Dalton, Russell survive US cut

BALTIMORE – First-team All-American midfielders Sarah Dalton (Boston University; Cornwall, Vt.) and Jenn Russell (North Carolina; Andover, Mass.) are among the 64 players who advanced to the second round of tryouts for the 2009-2010 U.S. women’s developmental team.
The first round took place during Memorial Day Weekend at Cedar Lane Sports Park in Bel Air, Md., and featured more than 150 candidates.
The second round will be held August 1-2 at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County.
The U.S. women’s national team program is gearing up for the Federation of International Lacrosse World Cup, which will be held from June 18-27 in the Czech Republic.
